The 1/4″ Clear View Foot works specifically with the Straight Stitch Needle Plate to achieve a perfect 1/4″ seam in straight stitch mode. A small hole in both the foot and the plate ensures the most control over your fabric and the least risk of thread or fabric getting caught in the feed dogs.
